At Perno Performance we...

Take the fluff out of fitness and focus on what’s truly important. We don’t worry about quick fixes, restrictive dieting, or smashing people into oblivion during their workouts.

That method is tried, tested, and busted. It’s stupid. It’s unnecessary. It leads to injuries. It results in people “falling off the bandwagon.”

Instead, we like to focus on real, fundamental habits that lead to life-long results.

This is achieved by focusing on the basics, understanding movement patterns, learning exercise technique properly, using intervention techniques to abolish pain and tightness, dieting without stress and restrictions, and getting on track with life.

It sounds like a big claim, but how about I let some of my clients tell you what their experience is like training here?

Exercise has never been my thing. It was always a chore until I started training with Hayden. Initially, my goal was to pass a fitness assessment, but I can't imagine not going to training now. Since beginning, my body has toned up, my posture has improved, and my strength has increased. With a strong focus on technique, I always walk away knowing I’ve worked out the right muscles for maximum results.

Our Facility

The Perno Performance gym is a personal training studio, first and foremost. 

Although some choose to train by themselves with programs written by Hayden in the facility, for the most part, as a studio, it allows us to limit congestion, keep the show ponies out, and focus on our clientele.

With a high ceiling, window walls, and a large roller door, the facility boasts plenty of natural light and airflow.

We have equipment for all your needs (dumbbells from 1kg to 50kg, kettlebells, Olympic barbells, Olympic rings, weight lifting platforms, suspension trainers, skipping ropes, landmine, cable machines, GHD, sled, plyometric boxes, and more).

We are also proud of our non-intimidating environment that suits all fitness levels, from beginner to advanced, all skills, and all capabilities.

I’ve trained with Hayden for several years now and have loved every minute of it. He always listens to the goals I want to achieve and designs programs to make sure they happen. A big part of my training is working on legs and abs, and I have seen a huge, positive change in these areas since I started training with him. But not only have I toned up my body, I have also increased my strength to levels I never thought I would be able to achievee.g., 100 kg deadlifts!

I've been training with Hayden for more than a decade. He has proven to be a true specialist. With this, we will meet in-person, I will show you around the gym, answer any questions you may have, and take you through a basic movement assessment.

Then, if you think you would like to continue, we can move forward and get you started with your health, fitness, strength, and posture program!

Before training with Hayden, at least once a year I'd have an event where my back would go and I couldn't walk at all, followed by more and more physio to help me get back to normal life. That was my life and I was happy to accept because at least I was mobile. After starting with Hayden, the training has changed everything. Plus, I haven't been to physio for over two years. I also know how to help myself when I'm in pain with a series of stretches and exercises that give me more energy and mobility than I've had for years.

Hayden's sessions are enjoyable, varied, and challenging. Some of the exercises I am doing, are exercises I never thought I'd be capable of.
